Coaching Staff Profile - Doug Gilmore (Freshman Head Coach)
Profile:
Originally from Indiana and has resided in Arizona since 2002. Played multiple sports
through high school and excelled in swimming and competed collegiately for the College of
Charleston, SC. After college he coached high school swimming at Bremen High School, IN
for three years where the program produced 4 All American and 2 Sectional Championships.
Coach Gilmer has a great love and respect for the game of baseball, enjoys coaching and
looks forward to developing the players’ fundamentals, baseball IQ and how to be successful
in the classroom and on the field.

Personal:
Has been teaching in the social studies department at HHS since 2004. Married to Kimberly
Gilmer and has two young sons.
Vision for Higley Baseball:
Develop responsible young men both on and off the field. Winning is and will be a natural
reflection and progression of a solid foundation of teamwork, discipline, work ethic,
fundamentals, love of the game and having fun.
